About Us

A BIT ABOUT US

British bespoke tailoring is our heritage and it’s exemplified in each garment we make. Our team of cutters, tailors and makers have been honing their skills as bespoke craftsmen for the last 35 years on London’s famous Savile Row. ‘The Row’ – as it’s called in the trade – has been the world’s home of tailoring, style and craftsmanship for over two centuries. While we’ve not been around quite that long, our in-house family has over 150 years of combined experience. We’re certainly not another ‘new brand’.

House Style

A suit from English Cut reflects our background as bespoke tailors. Our house style emphasises classic elegance and, of course, English style. Our garments are extremely soft and comfortable with a natural soft shoulder – we always avoid heavy padding and construction. Our clients understand that we will never be all things to all men, and respect our commitment to soft tailoring and timeless style.

CUT

A suit from English Cut reflects our background as bespoke tailors, emphasising a classic, soft tailored style. The cut of our suits is consistent throughout our range, designed with high armholes, a soft shoulder, and drape, while lacking heavy padding and construction.

CLOTH

All our cloths are sourced from the finest English mills and specifically selected by you for your MTM Code or Bespoke garment. Cloth selection is effectively unlimited, and your tailor will assist you in selecting a choice that represents your needs and personal style.

DRAPE

At English Cut, quality soft tailoring is all about drape – a term used to describe the fit of your coat through the chest. Our house style offers a soft, more natural look through the chest, creating a garment that is comfortable, easy to wear and traditionally elegant.

Our promise

Our ‘house style’ is consistent through our full suiting range and we don’t offer every type of construction – even if it’s the latest trend. We stick to what we do well and don’t deviate from our roots. That is why we’re different. We want our customers to make an informed decision based on our background, experience and knowledge. So if you prefer a softer, more natural English look, our tailors and craftsmen would be delighted to make it for you.
